| YES! Adding other sections, touchpanels and/or additional locations takes only minutes... yes, minutes! Let’s say you installed a system with Audio/Video and Lighting and you pre-wired for other Audio locations and Thermostats. The system can be configured to include these changes without you ever having to leave the office. | ||
| Can I edit GSL Home in Netlinx Studio? | ||
| YES! All of the UI files can be edited in Netlinx Studio. There is no special training or classes needed. | ||
| Can I use my in-house programmer to make changes to the code? | ||
| YES! Changing Audio/Video displays, receivers and/or sources are all done with ease. You also have the ability to add your own custom include files, which become part of the system. | ||
| What Audio/Video devices does GSL Home support? | ||
| There is no limit to supported devices such as displays, projectors and receivers. GSL Home was designed with a pass-thru feature which allows programmers to add custom IR or two-way RS232/IP files to control just about anything. | ||
| Does GSL Home use pre-programmed AMX modules? | ||
| NO! GSL Home does not contain any pre-programmed AMX modules. Every GSLogic module was created from the ground up to achieve the fastest automation system available. A complete home system compiles in less than 12 seconds and reboots in less than two minutes. | ||
| Can the GSL Home touchpanel files be edited with our own dealer design? |

| YES! Dealers can customize background images, button styles, pages, popups, etc. GSLogic supplies touchpanel files for 1027x768(IPad/15"), 800x600(8400/12''), 800x480(CV5/7/10-5200), 480x320(IPhone), 480x272(435P) and the R4 remote. | ||
| Can any of GSL Home options be edited directly from a touchpanel? | ||
| YES! Touchpanel editing such as: Cable/DSS stations and icons, Thermostat names, Lighting scenes, Sprinklers, default volume settings, privacy source lock, prevent source change and ALL the settings for the Event Timers... to name a few! | ||
| How many video locations can be Theater Rooms and is there an additional charge? | ||
| Every Audio/Video location could be a digital/analog surround sound Theater Room and there is NO additional charge. | ||
| Does GSL Home allow the use of local sources? | ||
| YES! Sources can be configured to the core switcher or directly to any of the surround sound receivers. | ||
| I always need to customize every project. Is this possible using GSL Home? | ||
| YES! There are MANY custom features. To name a few, you have the use of triggers/flags when any Audio/Video location is turned on/off, Displays on/off, Receivers on/off, Sources on/off, Security armed/disarmed, Lights on/off, etc. Upon any of these triggers you can: open/ close display lifts, adjust lights, adjust shades, control thermostats, send emails and more. | ||
| Do I need to buy the NI master from GSLogic with the software already installed? | ||
| NO! Once you have your customers NI-Master installed, we upload the program over the internet. | ||
| What if an AMX master needs to be sent in for repair? | ||
| You will love this! We recommend you download the XML files from the NI-Master when the project is complete. If you ever need to replace the NI-Master, just upload the XML files to the new NI-Master and all of your customers' settings return, such as station favorites and icons, XM presets, FM presets, Thermostat names and Events, Lighting names and Events, Shade names and Events, Sprinkler names and Events, Pool/Spa relay names, Phonebook names, Security zones and even the Capital game scores! | ||
| Can GSL Home run on an NI-2000? | ||
| YES! The AMX NI-X100 masters are much faster, but you can install GSL Home on a NI-700. | ||
| What if I have to use additional NI-Masters in a project? | ||
| All the code resides in the main master, so adding additional masters is not a problem. | ||
| Are the Event Timers included with the system? | ||
| YES! The sections with Event Timers are the Audio/Video, Lighting, Shades, Thermostats and Sprinkler. | ||
| Does GSL Home support tone and EQ control for the AMX DSP switchers? | ||
| YES! Not only can you adjust tone and eq for every location, you can adjust the input levels for each input source. | ||
